Watermark

A friend recently passed along a YouTube link (a song) that I found so touching, so encouraging, and I hope you will too. For me, it goes to that "stillness" I was talking about before Christmas--being still before God amidst the chaos of schedules and families and meetings and appointments and all the stuff life throws at us, so that I can hear him. I haven't forgotten my pledge to share more on that subject, and will do that later this week.

God's really been working in my heart. But I tell ya, I've had to clear off my plate, find quiet moments (which are made, they don't just happen), and quiet myself before him in order to hear his voice. His plan, no doubt. I hope you're blessed by this. I was...

And if you haven't ever heard of Watermark (Christy Nockels and her husband), please look for their CDs in stores near you or online.

A treat in The Closer

My editor, Karen, and I just finished a marathon phone conversation on final edits on From A Distance (that also took up a lot of yesterday) which was so fun and satisfying. I love the collaboration process and always appreciate her insights and suggestions. I'm eager to get started on those edits but need to get bills paid and clear my desk of clutter first. Writing is much easier when my surroundings are ordered and everything's in its place. A sickness I know...

I treated myself this afternoon (while going through files, mind you, I was working... ) and watched The Closer (the special episode from before Christmas). Love that show and appreciate the care they take with characterization and showing both sides of a "villain." This episode was especially well done. I just wish Brenda could eat sweets. It's killing her, bless her heart, you can tell! ;)

Okay, back to work...

Women of Faith Novel

I'm excited to announce that I'll be writing a historical novel for the Women of Faith fiction line for Thomas Nelson. This will be a stand alone novel and is scheduled to release in Spring '09.

I've long enjoyed the Women of Faith fiction line. You can check it out here! If you haven't read some of these books, I'd encourage you to pick one up.
