Is it OK to "Pray for Your Future Spouse"?

Great question posed by Andrea Lucado on her blog, and she has some great thoughts. Check it out!

  1. I haven't read the complete article, but just the title perked my interest. I am compelled to share! I was a missionary in Thailand when my husband, an associate pastor who had been single many years, began to pray for a wife. He met with a friend of his for a year, every week day, to pray together. Often their prayers focused on trusting God that he would find a wife by the end of the next year (2004). At that time, the Lord was giving me a peace about returning home from the mission field. I returned Dec. 2003. My future husband and I were set up on a blind date (we had never met) in Jan. 2004. We were engaged by May and married by October. So YES! I am a firm believer that it's ok to pray for a future spouse! : )
