Library Journal Gives Remembered Starred Review

I just got a wonderful surprise from Karen, my editor at Bethany House! Remembered was given a starred review from Library Journal, with the following comments:

*This follow-up to Rekindled and Revealed is a rich historical romance by possibly the best new writer in this subgenre. Veronique Girard is looking for her father, who left France 25 years earlier in search of the American dream. Pierre Girard had promised to bring his wife and young daughter to the new country after he made his mark but never did. Instead, Veronique arrives in Colorado in 1871 and meets Jack Brennan, who has been nursing his own loss. Descriptive prose and memorable characters set within an engrossing love story make this an essential read for those who like 19th-century Western romances with faith subtly interwoven throughout.

What a nice boost right now as I'm trying to find time to write this next book while also packing up seventeen years of living here in Colorado and saying goodbye to dear friends we've made. Not to mention getting our son graduated from high school this Saturday and facilitating all the celebrations surrounding that wonderful milestone. Fun (and fast!) times around the Alexander household these days!

Check out some family pictures (above) that we had taken recently. We had a collage put together and had such fun during the photo session! I tell ya, wherever these people are is where my home is. And little Jack too, of course!
