Better Than a Hallelujah

A dear friend (waving to you, Darla) sent me a link to Amy Grant's newest song and after hearing it, I downloaded it immediately. It's blessed me repeatedly in recent days. The words resonate within me with where I am in life right now. I hope you'll take a minute to check it out here.

As Darla wrote in her note to me, God loves the truest cries of our hearts. Amen, sister! "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart the Lord will not despise." (Psalm 51:17)

I pulled an all-nighter night before last to finish up some edits on Within My Heart, and am so happy to have that part of this book's journey done. I'm drained in relation to that, but am also filled up because so much of this past year of life--the good and bad--found its way into those pages, so it really reflects where I've been and where I am right now. Maybe that's why it was so difficult to write. Who knows...

Remember, take a listen to Better Than a Hallelujah, and blessings on your week...

  1. You're right, Tamera this is a great song. I listened to KLOVE for a week recently and they played this song alot. It is just great!

    Have a wonderful day!

I JUST heard this for the first time last night. It's a sign.

  3. Thanks for sharing this song! I like how she is expressing our need to be honest and open to God--how it is about a relationship and not a religion. I bought the song on iTunes, and I am really enjoying listening to it! However, I think my roommate might be a bit frustrated that I keep playing it over and over... ;)

  4. So glad you gals connected with it too. And yes, Kels, it's a sign (that we need to go shopping!!). LOL at the roommate comment, Amber!

  5. Amy Grant's music keeps getting better and better!

  6. Tamera, that is a wonderful song, thanks for posting it. I had not heard it yet. I just finished reading "Beyond This Moment" and loved it. I've yet to read the first book in the series, but will be going back to read it as soon as possible, and then moving on the the third book.

    Have a blessed day!
