Name that 70's tune

Good morning! Here's a quick vlog to test your memory skills. And yes! Being "a tad" older is definitely a plus in this game. Good luck! And be sure to list your answers below in the comment field.

First person to correctly guess all song titles (and list them in the right order), wins a "Tamera book" of your choice. Enjoy! And now step with me back into the 70s...

Here are the answers... And congrats to Cindy B who is our winner!

  1. I think it's Tamil Movie Song, Three Dog Night, Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head B.J. Thomas,
    The Delfonics, Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog, HIghway Star, Barbra Streisand sang the 8th song, Shattered...that's my guess {not so good} but didn't listen to 70's music and 9 songs is a challenge =)

  5. Oh wow, Cindy B! You're good!!! I want to wrap this up before I leave for the Brentwood Citizen's Police Academy tonight, so if no one has more than you by 5:00, you're gettin' the book, babe!

    Hint on #1 (lies somewhere in this shared memory): I especially identified with this song when I was chosen last for a game of basketball early on in high school. Then I proceeded to try and impress my new teammates and actually made a shot!!!! But in the other team's hoop. : {

    Hint on #2 (lies somewhere in the answer to this question): What is something man cannot live on alone?

  6. Oh dear... your hints now have me confused. lol. For #2, I was going to say "It Don't Matter to Me" by Bread but that seems to fit the clue for #1. :) The first one has me completely stumped. Anyway, I agree with Cindy B. on the others... 3) Close to You, Carpenters, 4) Betcha By Golly Wow, Stylistics, 5) Babe, Styx, 6) Poetry Man, Phoebe Snow, 7) Rocky Mountain High, John Denver, 8) Send in the Clowns, Judy Collins, 9) Photographs & Memories, Jim Croce

  7. Can you tell I grew up in the 70s? I figured out the first one, At Seventeen by Janis Ian, and I'm thinking the second one is by Bread, but don't know the song.

  11. Cindy B, yes to #1 being Janis Ian. Very good! And you're so close that I'm calling you the winner. You've guessed more of them correctly than anyone else, plus I'm afraid my bad clue on #2 might have skewed you some.

    Man cannot live by "bread" alone, was the saying I was going for. And you're right, Bread is the group. The song? Listen to the second vlog for all the answers, and thanks to everyone for playing!

    Cindy B, if you'll send me your snail mail address through my wesite here: http://www.tameraalexander.com/contact.html

    ...then I'll send you your book! Author Rachel Hauck is also joining me to give away a copy of her book too! So you're getting two of them!

    Thanks everyone. We'll play something else again soon.

  12. Well, I remained at 7 out of 9. I don't think I've EVER heard #2 in my life! LOL! It was fun and I got to travel down the 1970's Memory Lane. Now let me go back to my Rocking Chair and my Ben Gay! LOL! Just kidding! Thanks Tamera for the challenge! :)

  15. Hey Suzie! Great to hear from you, lady. Hope you enjoyed the Rockies, but yes! It's a tad dry up there compared to FL. ; ) Would love to chat. I'll call you soon, sweet cuz!
